Our Mission:
The mission of the UNM-Gallup Child Care Center is to provide a warm, nurturing environment that encourages the development of the "whole child" and to promote positive parent-child interactions

Our Goals:
In order to meet the needs of the developing child and provide a quality program, we will strive to:

Provide a healthful and safe environment.
Respect, accept and appreciate each child and the cultural heritage of that child.
Provide learning experiences designed to promote perceptual, motor, psychological, social, linguistic and intellectual growth.
Encourage each child's independence, autonomy and self-discipline.
Maintain an environment free of racial or sex role bias, stereotype or prejudice.
Involve parents in the designing of a developmentally appropriate curriculum which will give parents the opportunity to learn new parenting strategies.
Provide regular information to parents and the general public.
Encourage parents' questions, opinions and involvement.
Provide total quality care in a fiscally sound program.

Eligibility requirements:

Must be children of full-time or part-time students, staff or faculty
Must be between the age of 9 months and 11 years old
Updated immunization required
Current class schedule required before registration packets are given

Business Hours:
Fall/Spring Semesters:
Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Summer semester is only Monday through Thursday.

If your child will be enrolling here for the first time, you will need to complete the "First-Time" enrollment application and the "Parental Agreement." If your child has been here before and is returning, you will need to complete the "Re-Enrollment" Application. You may find it helpful to download, print, and complete these forms before coming to campus to submit them.

IMPORTANT: THIS CENTER IS OPEN ONLY TO THE CHILDREN OF FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS. IF YOU ARE A STUDENT, ONE PARENT MUST BE ENROLLED FOR THE CURRENT SEMESTER AT UNM-GALLUP OR YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR ENROLLMENT IN THE CHILD CARE CENTER. WE WILL NEED VERIFICATION OF YOUR ENROLLMENT FROM THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE PRIOR TO ACCEPTING YOUR APLICATION MATERIALS.
