Nursing Assistant teaches you entry-level skills for patient care. Nursing assistants are a very important part of the healthcare team!! See bottom of page for nursing assistant refresher courses.

The Nursing Assistant Program provides the student with entry-level skills for patient care. Successful completion of the following courses helps prepare the student for the New Mexico Certified Nursing Assistant Exam called the NACEP for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). Nursing Assistants work in long-term care facilities, hospitals or clinics. You will find a schedule of classes at the University in the Student Services offices, Gurley Hall.
