Student Orientation

Your Future Begins Here
At the outset of each term, Student Services offers orientation programs to answer student questions and ease the transition into college life. The programs are usually three hours in length and cover such topics as: grades, degree choices, transferring, dropping and adding classes, getting in touch with intructors, avoiding Fs, obtaining child care, obtaining financial aid, available services, facilities, and more.
New students are required, and all students are welcome, to attend these short programs since it has been shown that the academic probation rate is lower for students who have been through orientation. At this time the Schedule of Classes and the catalog are explained and several helpful handouts are provided. For dates and times call Student Services at 505.863.7522.
You will receive information regarding the general UNM-Gallup programs and services that will benefit you, while you are a student here. We want you to enjoy and be successful with your college, for questions call 505.863.7640 or come see us in the Gurley Hall Office 1129.
