Health Information Technology - Coding
This program is designed for individuals desiring entry level employment in health information department coding. A certificate in coding is awarded following successful completion of the 31 credit hours program. Disease and procedural coding are the methods by which the patient's encounters are classified, allowing the facility to bill third party payers for reimbursement. All courses, except HCHS 115T will transfer into the Associate of Science degree program in Health Information Technology.
