Testing

Welcome to the University of New Mexico-Gallup Testing Center webpage.

Our Testing Center offers:

Compass is a comprehensive computer adaptive placement testing system that is developed by ACT.

The Compass/Placement test tells you and the college, important information about your current skill levels in reading, writing, and mathematics.

To prepare for the Compass/Placement Assessment, you may view test samples at   ACT - Sample Test Questions .

We highly recommend review of the sample problems to allow yourself the opportunity to obtain the best results.

During the test we provide a four function calculator, pencil and scratch paper.

There is No Time Limit for Testing. Generally, the test takes an average of two to three hours. The amount of time spent varies from person to person and depends on how much they know. It is very Important to Take Your Time.
