The Center for Career and Technical Education (CCTE) represents a cooperative effort among the Gallup McKinley County Public Schools, Rehoboth Christian School, Zuni Public School District, Wingate High School and UNM-Gallup to offer career and technical education courses that the individual high schools do not offer.
High School juniors and seniors who wish to enroll in courses at the CCTE should see their counselors. Those selected to attend will be bused to the CCTE for classes in the morning or afternoon, depending on their schedule and CCTE program of study selection.
Not only can students earn credits toward high school graduation, they can, in most programs, earn between 14 and 18 credit hours per year. After high school graduation these credits can be applied toward a certificate or degree in a college program at the UNM-Gallup Campus. Students may enroll in one of the following programs:
CCTE offers services to students enrolled in the following local schools: Central High School, Gallup High School, Middle College High School, Miyamura High School, Ramah High School, Rehoboth High School, Thoreau High School, Tohatchi High School, Twin Buttes High School, Wingate High School, and Zuni High School.
Depending on the program, instruction takes place on the UNM-Gallup Campus, at the UNMG-Zuni facility, at Miyamura High School, and at Ramah High School.
