Dr. Paula Muir Watt - Associate Professor Geology and Environmental Science Ph.D. in Geochemistry - University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. Her dissertation work focused on uranium contamination at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She is still interested in issues associated with uranium mining, milling, use, and disposal – all topics pertinent to our area. The Math and Science Department currently houses a liquid scintillation counter – an instrument used to analyze soil, sediment and water samples for radioactivity.
