3. Proof of having taken UNM-G's Compass Test†. You must bring a copy of your Complass Placement test results with you when you see the Healthcare Technician Advisor. If you took the Compass Placement Exam more than six (6) months prior to your application date, you must retake the Compass Placement Exam in College Learning Center, 2nd Floor, Gurley Hall.

Successful completion of this coursework will enable students to take a certification exam to become "Certified Health Unit Coordinators". If students who successfully complete the HCT Program choose not to become certified or do not pass the certification exam, they will still have earned a "Certificate of Healthcare Technician" from UNM-G.

**Documentation can be pay stubs from your place of employment or a letter from your supervisor stating your dates of employment.
