Marji Campbell,M.S.N., R.N.,Nursing Department Chair &Nursing Program Director505.863.7514 mcampbel@gallup.unm.edu Marji joined UNM-G faculty in 2002 and is the department's chair and the nursing program's director; she also teaches Nursing Fundamentals (NURS 115) didactic. Marii earned her master's degree in nursing education in Spring 2007 from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She spent 35 years in nursing primarily in medical-surgical, ICU and ER nursing having spent the last few years immediately prior to moving to Gallup, NM from Alaska, as a school nurse. She is known for her nursing education creativity, primarily in the areas of theory, research and culture. |

June Eastridge, B.S.N., R.N., Faculty ... 505.863.7713jeast@unm.edu June Eastridge is currently working on her master's degree in nursing education via distance education with UNM-A. She teaches 4th-semester students in Medical Surgical Nursing III (NURS 243), as well as professional/leadership seminar (NURS 245). June has a 17-year history of nursing experience and currently works prn in RMCHCS's Emergency Department (ED) or that same hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). |

Bernice Brewer is a graduate of UNM-G's ADN program and is currently a full-time instructor at UNM-G where she teaches Mental Health, Pediatric Nursing and the LPN to RN Transition course. Bernice comes to UNM-G from the Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital where she was Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services for many years. She is only a few credits shy of a master's degree in public administration, and she is currently working on a master's degree in nursing education. |
Melanie Moynan-Smith, R.N., M.S.N., C.D.E., C.N.P. Faculty 505.863.7667 mmoynan1@unm.edu Melanie joined UNM-G nursing program from Ohio University in Athens, OH. She's been in nursing for more than 20 years and has specialties in Family & Women's Health, as well as diabetes education. Her three-year nursing diploma is from Dawson College School of Nursing in Montreal, Canada; her bachelor of science in nursing is from Ohio University in Athens, OH; and her graduate work in nursing was completed at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. As a Certified Nurse Practitioner, she has extensive experience as a clinician/provider and spear-headed free health clinics in Appalachia. Her graduate research and studies were done on the topic of "Barriers to Self Management of Type 2 Diabetes in Appalachia." |

Delores Gonzales, R.N.Clinical Faculty, Gallup, NM 726-6309 on Mondays & Tuesdays
Delores Gonzales joined UNM-G's nursing faculty as both clinical faculty and clinical coordinator in Fall of 2007. Delores has an extensive clinical background, primarily at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital in Gallup. She oversees the clinical education for the students. |
Cynthia Torres, R.N.Clinical Faculty, Grants, NM Cibola General Hospital
Cindy joined UNM-G's nursing faculty first as the Maternal/Newborn theory instructor. While she completes her master's degree in nursing, Cindy now serves as the primary clinical instructor at Cibola General Hospital in Grants for UNM-G's nursing students. She is completing her master's degree at St. Francis University via distance education. |
