Nursing (RN)

The Associate of Science Degree in Nursing is designed to provide the student with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to give safe and effective nursing care.  Upon successful completion of the program the individual is eligible to take the National Licensing Examination to become a registered nurse and work in various health care settings.  Admission requirements for the Nursing Program include prerequisite courses, a GPA of 2.0 or greater in all required courses, a pre-admission advisement test, and an interview with the Nursing Program Coordinator.  Enrollment is limited and an application is required.  The program is accredited by the National League of Nursing and meets the standards set forth by the New Mexico State Board of Nursing.
