Did you know the 3 types of courses in WebCT (online, hybrid and web-enhanced):

An online course is one which learners access primary content and instruction using a variety of tools including email, chat, discussion boards, web pages, and multimedia technologies. The student can take this course anywhere in the US and anytime depending on the instructors outline.

A hybrid course is a blend of face-to-face instruction with online learning using WebCT. Hybrid courses move about half of course learning online and, as a result, reduce the amount of classroom seat time. This course would meet half in class and the other outside using WebCT for the remaining of the course depending on instructor outline.

A web-enhanced course is a traditional face-to-face course that uses WebCT to expand student learning beyond the boundaries of the classroom. This course will use WebCT as a central location for assignments and communication. They will still meet in class as scheduled.

Important Note: As for the Nursing and some of the Health career courses, they may use another online environment which also has the same functions and features as WebCT called Evolve. Contact your instructor for details.
