“Deciding to attend UNM-Gallup campus is one of the best decisions I ever made. I am currently in the Academic Science Education and Research Training (ASERT) program at UNM’s Health Science Center, where I will continue my scientific research training and also gain experience teaching at local community colleges that partner with UNM. Learning is a continuous process and my goal for the future is to make scientific education more accessible to minority students, which includes American Indians and Alaska Natives.”
