COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting you from getting sick. Based on what we know about COVID-19 vaccines, people who have been fully vaccinated can start to do some things that they had stopped doing because of the pandemic.

All COVID-19 vaccinations are voluntary. Note: It is crucial for patients to complete both doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine for the best protection against COVID-19.

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. COVID-19 vaccines were evaluated in tens of thousands of participants in clinical trials. The vaccines met the Food and Drug Administration’s rigorous scientific standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality.

Frequently asked questions about COVID-19 vaccines, including information on vaccine safety, are available from the CDC at: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/faq.html.
