GOVERNOR EXTENDS GALLUP'S EMERGENCY DECLARATION

May 4, 2020 - The governor has extended the city of Gallup’s emergency declaration into this week with all roadways providing access to the city closed and only residents, those who work in Gallup, and members of the media permitted entry into the city. Additionally, the hours of operations for businesses have been extended to 8 p.m. each day to allow time for essential workers to get groceries and other items. The extended order is in effect through noon on Thursday, May 7.
The state transportation department has set up checkpoints at multiple points of entry into Gallup where state police and the Army National Guard will be manning the checkpoints.
