You are encourage to apply if you are rising or current 9ht-11 grader attending Miyamura High School. If you do not attend Miyamura High School but a Gallup McKinley County School, you may still apply to our program.
Am I consider First Generation to college?
You are a First-Generation to college student if neither of your parents have not yet received a 4th year bachelor’s degree. If the answer is Yes, you qualify!

Low-income eligibility is determined by the U.S Department of Education’s federal low-income guidelines based on taxable income information & the number of household members.

**You must meet either the first-generation and/or low-income qualifications to participate in the Upward Bound program at the UNM Gallup campus.
